Huseman Group’s legacy dates back to 1931, when Richard J. Huseman started a construction company in the midst of the Great Depression.

We’ve been inspired by his tenacity and grit ever since, as our capabilities have expanded to meet the needs of our customers and an ever-changing market. Today our dedicated teams of craftspeople and precision builders provide a range of expertise across our construction and specialty trade companies to turn visions into reality.

THE BEGINNING

In 1931, Richard J. Huseman started a construction company on a simple set of values: quality craftsmanship, putting the customer first and doing it right.

STANTON MILLWORKS

In 2006, after decades of employing our own skilled carpenters and cabinetmakers, we formed a standalone cabinetmaking and woodworking company to ensure consistent quality work on all projects.

STRUCTURAL SYSTEMS REPAIR GROUP

In 2008, in response to the influx of historic preservation and stabilization work coming out of the economic recession, we began helping our customers complete complex restorations and structural repairs.

STEWART IRON WORKS

In 2019, we acquired a historic iron works company to expand our specialty capabilities and enhance the skills we bring to new construction, historic preservation and restoration projects.

TRADE31

In 2021, we formed a superior self-perform workforce to celebrate a longstanding tradition of employing our own skilled craftspeople and specialty contractors.

Vice President of Finance & Accounting, Huseman Group

Bill is known as the innovative mind behind our financial strategy. He brought decades of financial analysis, accounting, risk management, and treasury experience to Huseman Group in 2019 and has since achieved renown for being a good steward of both our company’s and clients’ money.

Adam Kuehne

President, HGC Construction

Adam joined HGC in 2005 and was named President in 2020. Both responsible and daring in his solutions, his expertise and experience combine to deliver outstanding results to our clients. His leadership emphasizes teamwork, continuous improvement, and a commitment to quality and ensures HGC continues to be a trusted construction partner that brings creative solutions to the table.

Backed by years of experience and a savvy business mind, Bryan’s contributions to SSRG have brought about positive change and growth. His innovative Safety/Quality/Production initiative and strategic vision for Southeast expansion have propelled the company to new heights.

Josh joined Stewart after overseeing Huseman Group’s industry-leading Safety Team, where he was tasked with vigorously safeguarding team members and providing best-in-class guidance and support to each jobsite and individual. Josh is passionate about growing Stewart Iron Works into the future, while always keeping an eye to its legacy of quality and artistry.

Justin Freeman

President, Stanton Millworks

Since becoming Vice President of Stanton Millworks in 2021, Justin oversees operations and strategic growth, ensuring the delivery of high-quality millwork solutions that enhance every project. He leads with a passion for exceptional craftsmanship and precision, and is dedicated to preserving Stanton’s legacy of excellence while driving innovation in custom woodworking and fabrication.

Bill Smith

Vice President, Trade31

Bill Smith, a steady presence since Trade31’s establishment, brings a clear understanding of what it takes to lead a specialty trade business rooted in craftsmanship. With 20 years of experience in development, preconstruction, and construction management, he is also active in local trade organizations, helping support and shape the next generation of skilled tradespeople.
